Sunday update - Something small, something big.

GitHub integration with AI suggestions

Lokidrop can now connect directly to your GitHub repository. When a new commit appears, Lokidrop evaluates the commit message and decides whether it might be something your users should hear about.

If it looks relevant, Lokidrop will suggest a changelog entry for you.

Suggestions appear directly inside the entry editor, so you can review them, tweak the wording, and publish when ready. It’s a simple way to make sure important updates don’t get lost between commits and releases.

The only requirement is writing meaningful commit messages — which is a good habit to have anyway. It also nudges your team toward clearer, more useful commits.

Lokidrop never looks at your code. Only the commit messages are evaluated.

Password-protected changelog pages

You can now protect your changelog with a password.

This is especially useful if you want to share updates with internal teams, testers, or selected customers before making them public.

Lokidrop API is now available, and some other goodies! 🍪

Lokidrop API

For teams that want more automation and flexibility, we’re excited to introduce the Lokidrop API.

You can now create and manage changelog entries directly via API. This opens up a lot of possibilities for integrating Lokidrop with your existing workflows and tools.

For example, you could:
• automatically publish updates from your deployment pipeline
• create changelog entries from your internal tools
• sync updates from your product management system
• build custom publishing workflows for your team

The API gives you programmatic control over your changelog, making it easier to keep users informed without adding manual work.

The Lokidrop API is available for Pro plans.

Image Bank for Your Updates

Changelogs are easier to read — and much more engaging — when they include visuals. That’s why we’ve added a brand new Image Bank to Lokidrop.

You can now store and manage images directly inside Lokidrop and quickly add them to your changelog entries while writing updates. No need to hunt for image URLs or manage assets elsewhere — everything lives in one place.

Even better, images can now include clickable links, making them useful not only for illustrations but also for directing users to relevant pages such as feature documentation, landing pages, or product updates.

You can find image bank from editor toolbar

✨ Tuesday update is here!

We’ve been working on several improvements to make changelogs even more useful for your team and your users.

📚 New Guides available (Pro plan)

Pro plan users have access to a growing collection of guides. These help your team get the most out of changelogs — from writing updates your users actually read to using them as part of your product marketing and management. Two new guides available.

👥 Better team management

Managing your team is now much smoother. Inviting new members and organizing your team is simpler than before.

And remember: Pro plans include unlimited team members, so your whole team can participate in writing updates!

📊 Track entry clicks

You can now see when users click a changelog entry from the widget.

This gives you a clearer picture of which updates your users are actually interested in. The data appears in Analytics and is available on the Pro plan.

✍️ Editor improvements

We’ve made several improvements to the editor to make writing updates easier and smoother. Small fixes and refinements should make the editing experience feel faster and more reliable.

💡 Writing guide inside the editor

Not sure how to write a great changelog entry? The editor now includes a built-in guide that reminds you of best practices for writing updates users enjoy reading.

⚙️ Cleaner settings layout

The settings page has been redesigned to be clearer and easier to navigate. Finding the options you need should now feel much more straightforward.

💬 Feature requests from your users

Your changelog can now do more than just announce updates.

Readers can suggest new features, share ideas, or report bugs directly through the changelog. It’s a simple way to collect feedback from the people actually using your product.

Schedule changelog entries
You can now schedule updates to be published at a specific time. This is especially useful if you prepare updates in advance or want your changelog to go live at the same time as a product release.

Images in changelog entries
Entries can now include images. This allows you to highlight new features visually, add screenshots, or illustrate improvements so your users can immediately understand what has changed.

Changelog localization (Finnish support)
Lokidrop now supports Finnish localization for changelogs. This makes it easier to communicate updates to Finnish-speaking users and keep your changelog aligned with the language of your product.

Analytics
You can now see how your changelog is performing. Analytics provide insight into how users interact with your updates, helping you understand which announcements get the most attention.

Lokidrop is here 🎉

Here it is! Write and publish changelog entries in a clean full-page editor with live markdown preview. Publish immediately, save as a draft, or schedule for a future date and time — Lokidrop handles the rest.

Organize entries with categories — New, Changed, and Fixed out of the box, fully customizable with your own names and colors.
Your public changelog lives at lokidrop.com/your-org-name. No login required for your readers. Just a clean, fast page that works.

Embed your changelog anywhere with a single script tag. Drop it in as an inline list or a popup widget that flashes when there's something new. Fully isolated from your site's styles. One line of code.

Brand it as yours — set your accent color, choose light or dark theme, link back to your main site.

Build with your team. Invite members, write together, ship together.

We're already deep into next update which will perfect so many things, so stay tuned!

This is entry number one. We intend to write many more.
